How much down payment will I need?
Your down payment is determined by a numbers of factors including your income and the vehicle you select.

Can you take an application over the phone?
Yes, but due to the Fair Credit Reporting Act, you have to come in and sign the application before we can process it.

How much am I approved for?
The amount is determined by your income, down payment, and the price of the vehicle you select.

Do I need a cosigner
Normally no, but additional income and credit history usually gives us more flexibility for someone with limited income, a short job or residence time, and limited credit history.

Do I need a bank account?
Our payments are setup on monthly bank debits to a regular checking or savings account. This will help you to make sure you payments are on time and insure a good credit history on your payments to help or reestablish your credit.

Is there a warranty on the vehicle?
Yes, there is a warranty available on every vehicle Chip sells.  The manager will explain the available warranty after you select your vehicle.

Does my down payment lower my payments?
Yes, your payments are based on the amount you finance after your down payment is taken off the balance.

In connection with your transaction, Chip Ellis MotorCars may obtain information about you as described in this notice, which we handle as stated in this notice:

1. We collect nonpublic personal information about you from the following sources: Information we receive from you on applications or other forms, Information about your transaction with us, our affiliates or others; Information we receive from a consumer reporting agency.

2. We may disclose all of the information we collect, as described above, to companies that perform marketing services on our behalf or to other financial institutions with whom we have joint marketing agreements. We may make such disclosures about you as a consumer, customer, or former customer.

3. We may also disclose nonpublic personal information about you as a consumer, customer, or former customer, to nonaffiliated third parties as permitted by law.

4. We restrict access to nonpublic personal information about you to those employees who need to know that information to provide products or services to you. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to guard your nonpublic personal information.
